A coaches worse fear is a helmet-to-helmet. And this is a milder form of a Spear. The true scare with the spear is if Rosegreen would have hit him in something more solid like his chest. He (Rosegreen) would have compressed his spine and never had gotten back up. The true concern for injury from spearing lies with the player who is making the hit and not taking it. Dennis Byrd, Mike Utley, Kevin Everett, Derrick Burroughs.

Hey this wasn't a clean hit but I'd like to see any of you be running as fast as that kid and aim your shot better. The only part I didn't like was when he knew the guy was hurt and just celbrated the play. It's just a game at the end of the day, show at least a little concern for a guy who's not moving.
