The word theory it self has different meanings in the different fields of knowledge.
Depending on the methods and the context of discussion, you can disprove one theory by
finding an observation that disagrees with it. "SOMETIMES" theories can be prove to be
true or false and the nature of theories are the consequence in the need of using inductive
logic. Remember that theories aren't something concrete until they can be prove to be true.

he has a great point and theory in my opinion. Some people will always call, "bullshit" and accept ignorance and live in denail. Hopefully that just might change, but i think that even trying to grasp the idea that other civilizations and races are out there is relatively easy, for those that are open-minded and mature enough to believe we are not the only ones in "space". anyway hope i dont offend anyone, just stating my opinion. I think he was making a point here though that we are exhausting the Earth's resources. Agriculture has moved to synthethic production of goods and foods, much to our detriment; and the energy to run these machines has to come from somewhere.

I followed him until he mentioned the terrorists opposing Type 1 Civilization. I for one, am against the actual formation of a global government or economy because it threatens individual sovereignty. We as a species have tried to unite under one power and its never worked. It never will. Type 1 civilizations will remain a fantasy until we can learn to get along which sadly is not now. Although I look forward to the day its possible, now is NOT the time to try to transition. We aren't ready yet.

I think he's sort of saying that too. We may not be ready because there are a whole lot of people out there who are unwilling to accept change or something different from what they know. I think he's saying, okay, these things are happening and they're evidence we're heading in this direction but even though it's all happening, it's not clear whether or not humans will survive the transition because of our problems.
