| lol I think the man from your village was only trying to be amiable in a backward sense lol There seems to be a taboo or a self enforced taboo about talking about the war. The war generation should realise they dont have to keep shtum about the war and no longer have to 'not grumble' about the hardships and extraordinary experieneces they went through, because my generation (I'm 23) feel quite alienated from what happened in the 1st and 2nd world war. |
