How can you leave out Kizimierz and what happened there! See Schindlers list if you want it visualised! The whole jewish population was gassed in Sobibor. The town was founded in 1335 by King Kazimierz especially as a gift to the jewish he needed at that time. It was once a world of prosperity and tolerance. A whole world was swept away in 1 week. And forgotten as this over popular non informative video shows. Well below Lonely Planet standerds.

Oh yes: we had a lovely vacation-we dedicated it to the suffering of the jews. Next year lets go to Rawanda and after that Cambodia. But of course whats a vacation in Eastern Europe wo some depressing holocaust item, We dont ever get to see it on the tv, or read about it, or hear about it on the radio-lets use our vacation

I've been to Krakow four times, and will be going back in October. I highly recommend it to everyone.
A couple of good bars include, The IrishMbassy (for footy) and Nic Nowagas.

tylko co idioci zrobili z brukiem na rynku. Zamiast jakiegos pieknego starobruku z bazaltu, wybetonowali kostka z Castoramy, teraz to samo chca zrobic z placem Matejki. Poza tym swietny pomysl z tym mieszkaniem z "epoki" w nowej hucie. Chyba turysci z panstw ktorych ominal dziadek mroz, sa ciekawi jak to kiedys wygladalo. Ciekawe czy to reklamuja gdzies, to by moglo stac sie nowym hitem turystycznym, gdyby tak odpowiednio wypromowac

Everything true, except Czartoryski museum is not situated in the jewish district but near the Florian's Gate, when u enter the old city through the gate it's the first street on the right. BTW Da Vinci painting is there.

ą najbardziej rozreklamowanymi przewodnikami w Krakowie... Byli w wiadomościach, faktach... A reklamują się też w internecie. Problem w tym, że dużo z ich klientów to młodziaki które mają w d historię i chcą tylko się zapić w komunistycznej Polsce, podjerzewam, ze nie wiedzą i nie ch

´t mention but it´s definitely incredible is the Oskar Schindler's factory, Emalia. Is justa a few blocks away from the jewish quarter, you can get there walking from the center.

Good review of the city, I went in April and its fantastic. Just beautiful. But as someone else said definitely walk over the river and visit Schindler's factory and the old Jewish ghetto. Its just a short walk from Kazimerz.
