Fucking AWESOME! Over The Edge is one of the greatest albums of all time, it was my soundtrack to high school, this is the TRUTH!
About LIFE.
I still get bummed when I think how I was supposed to see them, around the time they recorded the live LP, but my "friend" never showed up; I see him the next day, he's still tripping on LSD, smiling, "I stayed up all nite talking to..". I'm supposed to be happy for him? What a schmuck!

Well I thank you slashyrface, cause I can't afford to buy the DVD right now,
so no profits are lost from me.
But I WILL buy it, as will anyone who got so absorbed in this album cause it reflected their life (songs like Over the Edge, Romeo, No One Loves An Alien, The Lonely One, Doom Town, etc); and the band of course.
You don't need to feel bad.

Greg used just the right amount of distortion--kept his tubes sound really hollow and then added the most killer Echoplex. Even live, he drug that Echoplex along and had it set up on a stool in front of the amps, spinning away. The disintegration of the decay envelope in Greg's reverb was what gave his sound such an ominous presence.

You're right, Marge. Just like the time I could have met Mr. T at the mall. The entire day, I kept saying, 'I'll go a little later, I'll go a little later...' And when I got there, they told me he just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he'll ever come back again, he said he didn't know. Well, I'm never going to let something like that happen again!

wow dude I dont know really anybody with the scoop on gs's sound. I've tried to emulate it for years with varying degrees of sucess. There just isnt enough information about gregs rigs on the net, I guess that just shows how underappreciated he still remains.
There should be a guitar geek on him.
