how about the new iMac with 3.06 ghz core 2 duo? there's also a big difference how the system (OS X) works with the hardware. To make it easy, you get more power out from a processor using a Mac. Also, what people don't think about is that the second-hand value on macs are extremely good, compared to a PC. that in the long run doesn't make your computer that expensive. and last but absolutely not least, the operating system OS x 10.5. Vista is a joke compared to it. I have used both. tata

because macs are more user friendly and innovative. obviously if you just use windows programs there's no point in getting a mac, but the switch brings more security and reliability.
