I seriously cried when the Phillies won the World Series...i just couldn't believe we finally got it done...I just kept saying "oh my god! oh my god! I can't believe it! The Phillies won the World Series!" Then I got up and lifted my hands toward the sky and shouted "The 2008 Philadelphia Phillies are World Champions of Baseball!" I live and die with my Philly sports and now that I have finally experienced a championship. Time for the Flyers now to bring us home the Stanley Cup!

You were actually right, in a way. It says 23 years in the video, because this video was made in 2006. So at the time of this video, it had been twenty-three years since the last championship in '83.

I am a Philly sports fan living in Tampa and beating Tampa in the world series felt soooo good!! From the moment the news broke that Philly would be playing Tampa in the World Series. They were so cocky they were sure they would sweep Philly in four games. Tampa fans gloated about the 02 NFC game and the 04 NHL playoffs. On sports radio they were saying how Philly is always Tampa's bitch. Not this time ASSHOLES!!! PHILLIES!!!! WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!!!!!!

i think the curse of billy penn was real. From 83 to 07 Philadelphia teams were terrible. The curse said it was because of One Liberty Place. Last year when the comcast center was built they put a small figurine of Billy Penn at the very top. Ever since they put him up there Philly teams have done great. FLyers almost made it to the Stanely Cup last year. The sixers made the playoffs last year. Then this year the Phillies won the world series. Flyers and Eagles are doing great this year too.

i beg to differ...the flyers were great when they lost to tampa in 04 and went to the cup finals in 97...they went to cup finals 3 times in the 80's and how about the eagles going to the super bowl and winning all of those NFC east titles??? i wouldn't call that terrible

ok hockeyiscool22 you have a point. The Eagles have actually been good in the 2000's. Also the Flyers made it to the Stanely cup several times. I didn't really mean what I said about Philadelphia teams being terrible. I am a huge Philly sports fan. I just mean compared to how we have been playing the last 1 and a half years they haven't been playing good. Almost all teams made it to the playoffs since 2007. Also the Phillies won the WS. So I didnt really mean they played terrible.
